Research Interests

The purpose of my research is to characterize bacterial diversity in the Meuse watershed continuum. The final aim is to use bacteria as bioindicators of river quality.

This study will consist in analyzing spatio-temporal patterns of the Meuse bacterial community composition (BCC) over several years in parallel with measurements of physico-chemical and hydrologic parameters of the water column. I will especially focus on coalescence points, river confluences and wastewater inputs. The ultimate goal is to define the respective influence of those abiotic parameters versus biotic ones in the river system.

Thesis: “Study of the spatio-temporal variations of bacterial diversity in the Meuse watershed rivers”
