Research Interests

Study and modeling of the response of marine ecosystems to climate and anthropogenic changes throughout the understanding of the
interactions between planktonic organisms and marine biogeochemical cycles (C, N, P, Si, Fe):

– Linking coastal eutrophication and harmful algal blooms to changing (past and future) nutrient loads (North Sea, Black Sea)
– Contribution of biological processes to air-ice-sea exchanges of CO2 and DMS in the iron-limited Southern Ocean.
