Research interests

Development of mechanistic models describing mixotrophy in planktonic microorganisms in order to (i) improve the knowledge of physiological mechanisms behind this complex nutrition and (ii) understand the importance of mixotrophy in food web interactions and biogeochemical cycles. Studied areas mainly focus on eutrophied coastal and estuarine systems.
